Another tip that helps when trying to find a sleep mask is that you want a mask that has a mid to high level of light blocking. Look for a layer of what is know as blackout material. It ought to be sewn into the mask. And, look for the contour of the mask. Check the mask for high quality padding that should be around the entire mask. Masks differ in their contour and just how much of the mask covers the eyes and component of the face. Still yet another important feature to look for is the weight of the mask. Some masks are heavier than others as a result of the type of material that is used. Additional padding will make the mask a bit heavier however it will work much better to keep the light out..

Fitbit comes with a one year warranty. Although not explicitly stated, this covers loss and water damage. In the first six months of use they replaced the first one that was lost when it fell off my belt. Three months later they replaced the replacement when it went swimming in the washing machine. Their service cannot be equaled.

I tried this software and it struggled with larger file sizes, apparently only using available free RAM as a buffer. Not even smart enough to use the HDD as buffer space. Not to mention that it does not work under Snow Leopard and when you do get a response from their CS rep it was, we don’t intend to make it Snow Leopard compliant. My advice, stay well away from this.

So far, I have not recovered a file. Although I requested my money back within the first 48 hours or so, I have not received it. Rather they’ve told me to do random stuff that I’ve had tons of trouble doing because it freezes my mac. I totally understand what you guys are saying.\

If they simply provided the service they state they are capable of providing I’d be happy, but for now, i just feel like I’ve been bamboozled out of 100.

If I ever get the FLA files I am looking for back, I’ll eat my words, but till then I’m not at all impressed and the software is not worth the money, the time, the trouble, and the dashed hopes recovery.

I second the above – DO NOT BUY –

Have tried recovering 2 separate macintosh computers, on 10.4 and 10.5 using version 3.5.
On both efforts, the directory trees were viewable on the drive, but not mountable.
Stellar Phoenix quick recovery ran for many hours, recovering all of the files, only to have every file corrupt.
What good is it to have 55Gb of corrupt files?

I am working with Tech Support now, They had NO advice, just we’ll email you a form to fill out.

Frustrated – will try Data Rescue Next

The Pogo seems to be the best of a less than complete selection of Stylus’s that work without issues.

Why doesn’t someone make a prduct that is conductive without interuption — it is obvious that the IPhone needs it ( ie. with all the games that could be used )

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! Terrible. It either completely shuts itself down after 20 seconds, or freezes your entire computer 20 minutes into a recovery. The customer service is TERRIBLE—all they do is give you the runaround, and ask you to provide impossible details to help them. They asked me for a screenshot of when the search was going on—-knowing full well that it was freezing my computer and making it impossible to do so.

THEY DO NOT HONOR THE 30 DAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE!!!! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

I had a very similar problem as Beth’s with the Brodit unit I bought at Proclip.com. I used their Angled Mount in my Honda Odyssey with a Garmin Nuvi 360 GPS for about two years with no problems. Then the bottom “hook” that holds it into the dashboard broke and my $70 mount is suddenly useless. While the mount as a whole seems very sturdy, the plastic is actually very thin where it’s creased to form the hook, and that’s where it broke off. Seems like a real design flaw to me.

I also called ProClip to complain and they gave me the same story as Beth: only a one year warranty, nobody else has had problems (guess THAT’S not true) nothing they can do, etc.

From the great reviews and the sturdy appearance I expected the mount to last much longer. But wasn’t the case and I would caution others from making that assumption. Especially if you remove your GPS from the mount frequently (as you should to prevent theft) your ProClip mount may have to be replaced well before your car does.

I bought a Proclip for my car and had it for about a two years and loved it because it fit perfectly into a little spot in my car and wasnt in the way of anything else really and it did its job. However, both of the specific (and expensive) parts have broken since then. When I contacted them at Proclip, they told me they only have a one year warranty, so all they could offer me was free shipping on a new order. I told them I didnt have much confidence that if I ordered (and paid full price again) for the same thing that I wouldnt feel confident that it wouldnt just break again. They wanted to stick with their warranty and didn’t offer any other type of reimbursement or offer on a new one. I was disappointed because I do like the product, but dont think it should just break (a chip broke off of it so it basically just doesnt hold it up anymore and isn’t functional) and then they dont stand behind it at all….

Excellent review and I will look for these. The only reason is that I wouldn’t get this product is if I’m unable to get a real custom fit for the ear buds. You wrote, “The Radius Atomic Bass fits well into my ear and doesn�t slip out like the standard earbuds. The plastic covers come in three different sizes to help insure a custom fit and the earbuds are angled to fit deeper in the ear canal.” I had impressions of my ears taken for my iPod ear buds and they of course fit perfectly since it’s MY ear. I will contact the company that I used (Earsound Customs) for my iPod ear bud attachments to see if they can help me with this product. I would recommend anyone putting something in their ear to seek out a true custom fit. Once you experience it you will never go back to “three different sizes.” Hope this helps.

Hi! Since I upgraded Safari (to 3.2.1) I’ve gotten a message on startup saying that it did not load the FLVR 1.0 plugin, because it had not been tested with this version of Safari. Is there a new version of the plugin, or is this a relic that I should uninstall, or ??? Thanks for your support!

This is a nice case I like your review too. I purchased one of those cheap cases for under $5 recently and it literally fell apart witin a month. I am in the market for something durable and high quality. I like how it has a holder for the earphones too. This is very practical.

For the screen cleaning I like to use the suede cloth given out by your eye glass store.
These clean well and are antistatic as well just make sure the cloth is very clean to start with. Thanks for your article!

That’s a great idea, as I do alot of traveling and conduct much of my business from my laptop. My hands are definitely feeling the abuse of the traditional position they are forced to be in. Can’t believe how cost-effective it is as well. Good post :)

I still have a G3 powerbook here, although it’s no speed machine, it still does the job quite nicely for email and IM running OSX 10.2.8.

Hey, thanks for the review! Someone pointed me to this and I found it pretty on the spot.

On the Apple TV browser hack: The good news is that something easier is coming, the bad news is that your experience was just about the same as mine. When I wrote that hack it worked exactly as written. When I tried to follow the instructions from the book after updating my Apple TV to the latest version (after the book came out) the instructions no longer worked.

The problem seems to be that the patchstick program had changed. When i used the old patchstick program it worked but not with the new one. It is hard to write this kind of stuff when everything is in flux. On of the mistakes I made in the book was not stressing that enough. A “if this doesn’t work try the latest instructions at blah blah” or perhaps explaining what is going on in greater depth.
