Your G5 is capable of upgrading to both Tiger and Leopard, all the way up to 10.5.8. I would recommend going up to Leopard (10.5) at this point. You'll also need to upgrade the ram in this machine to do so properly. I would recommend going up to at least 2 gigs. It only has 512 MB DDR SDRAM (and processor is 1.6 Ghz PowerPC G5).</p> <p>Starting to run into sites & programs that require 10.4, but I can't find any way to upgrade to 10.4. Can't even get some QuickTime videos to run, but I don't know if that's the same problem or something else?</p> <p>Can I even put Tiger or Leopard on this machine, or is it too slow/old? I know I can't go to Snow Leopard, because it's Intel and this machine isn't.</p> <p>I'd like to keep using this computer for awhile -- but have it run everything. Is there a solution? </p>
